On May 18, the Lithuanian Nordic Walking Association invited everyone to celebrate World Nordic Walking Day in Birštonas. The event began with a welcoming speech by LŠĖA President Aurelija Raukštienė. Later, all participants were invited to learn Nordic walking techniques. Before the start, a warm-up exercise with Nordic walking poles was held, led by Inga Kostina. Participants could choose a 7 km or 14 km route. The routes were full of beautiful views and tourist attractions. The wonderful weather was also a joy. We would like to thank the Birštonas Sports Center for the stadium space and “Birštonos Mineraliniai Vandenys” for the water for the event participants.
